Pier Park is not only the best over-all shopping destination in Panama City Beach (and beyond!) – it is SO much more! Shopping, restaurants, sports bars, games for all ages, movies, events, and my favorite – live music and dancing, all steps away from the soft white sand and emerald water of the Gulf of Mexico. Let’s go!
Pier Park is located at 600 Pier Park Drive, Panama City Beach, FL 32413. It is on south side of the Panama City Beach Parkway (also called Hwy 98, or to long time locals – Back Beach Road). It is owned by the Simon Property Group.
Pier Park includes the original “main” shopping area with Dillard’s, J.C. Penney and Target as anchor stores. Pier Park boasts 124 stores, where you can shop for trendy beach outfits at The Florida House, high end jewelry at Reeds Jewelers, delicious chocolates at Kilwins, and everything in between.
You’ll find so many yummy options at Pier Park! Enjoy shrimp and a salt rimmed margarita at Margaritaville, sushi at Osaka Japanese Steakhouse, a burger at The Back Porch, reggae rolls at Pompano Joe’s, fish tacos, Pier Punch and a beach-side table at Hook’d, to name just a few.
The Grand IMAX Pier Park 16 theater for a movie, Dave and Busters for arcade and video games, Buffalo Wild Wings for the game, and my choice – the Mirror Maze and Laser Craze – you’ll find those and more! You can even take the kids fishing off the Pier – or just to the end to see what’s biting (and the view!).
Whether it’s the New Year’s Eve Beach Ball Drop, the Pirates of the High Seas Festival, or Mardi Gras – Pier Park hosts a good party! Adjacent to Pier Park, located in the same complex, the Aaron Bessant Park hosts events like the Emerald Coast Boat & Lifestyle Show, the Seabreeze Jazz Festival, UnWined and countless others, including my favorite, the summer concert series.
Pier Park has several brew pubs – the Brass Tap and the Craft Beer Bar, as well as several options for live music – Margaritaville and Hook’d often have live music, and you can always find fabulous live country music with no cover until late night at Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge.
It’s easy to spend a day, or many days, at Pier Park – it’s a “don’t miss” attraction during your trip to Panama City Beach! See you there!
